BRON
KABINET K

A child stands in a spotlight against a dark background. Fine dust or powder surrounds the body and becomes visible in the light. Raised arms and drifting particles create a striking visual effect.
Two persons perform a shared arm movement. Four arms overlap in the foreground, forming a dense composition of hands and lines. The blurred background keeps attention on the gesture.
In front of a textured stage wall, two adults each support a child. One child is lifted high overhead with outstretched arms while another is held close. The scene emphasizes movement, balance and connection.

Synopsis

How do we want to live together in future?

With bron, the Dutch word for “spring”, Joke Laureyns and Kwint Manshoven return to the core of their artistic work. Together with dancers from varying generations, they create a place to meet where fragility, fantasy and community come together. Accompanied by live music from the composer Thomas Devos, the dancers search for what they have in common. A spring becomes their shared starting point, a place that life flows from and where new relationships are made. Between strong group images and moments of silence a choreography develops in which people of different ages can meet as equals.

kabinet k has been bringing together children, young people and adults on stage for more than 20 years. The Belgian company has developed its own distinctive movement language that relies on authenticity and human intimacy. bron is and invitation to view community not as a fixed state, but as something that is constantly being recreated and which we all help to shape.
