Synopsis

In the year 2020, in the midst of the COVID pandemic that affected Brazil particularly severely, Lia Rodrigues Companhia de Danças celebrated its 30th anniversary. At the invitation of the Berlin theatre HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Lia Rodrigues and her team created a series of films about her recent works, but also about the situation of living through the pandemic and the effects this had on members of the company. Creation Notebooks gives an impression of the company’s poetic, political and artistic universe. The films are a collage of rehearsal situations, performances, sources of inspiration, pictures, photographs and artistic testimony.
